Who We Are

ANVL (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website anvl.club and associated services. ANVL is a personal development platform offering daily challenges, courses, coaching, and community for young men. We are based in the United Kingdom.

What Data We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign up via a third-party provider (such as Google), we receive your name and email from that provider.

Usage Data

As you use ANVL, we collect data about your activity on the platform. This includes:

  • Challenge completions and progress
  • Quiz results and responses
  • Course enrolment and progress
  • Streak data and XP totals
  • Badge and achievement records

Payment Data

If you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number or bank details. Stripe provides us with a transaction reference, your subscription status, and the last four digits of your card for your convenience.

Technical Data

We automatically collect limited technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and device type. This is used solely for security, fraud prevention, and ensuring the service works correctly.

How We Use Your Data

  • Provide the service — deliver challenges, track your progress, maintain streaks, and power leaderboards.
  • Personalise your experience — tailor challenge recommendations and content to your goals and activity.
  • Improve the platform — analyse aggregate usage patterns to make ANVL better for everyone.
  • Communicate with you — send transactional emails (password resets, subscription confirmations) and, if you opt in, marketing emails about new features and content.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We never have and we never will. We share data only with the following third-party processors, who act on our behalf:

  • Stripe — payment processing for subscriptions.
  • Supabase — database hosting, authentication, and file storage.
  • ConvertKit — email delivery for marketing communications (only if you opt in).

Each processor is bound by data processing agreements and processes your data only as instructed by us.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we enter a 30-day grace period during which you can reactivate and recover your data. After 30 days, your personal data is permanently deleted or anonymised. Anonymised, aggregate data (which cannot identify you) may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.

Your Rights

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), you have the following rights:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data.
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.
  • Restriction — ask us to restrict processing in certain circumstances.

You can export or delete your data at any time from your account settings. To exercise any other right, email us at support@anvl.club and we will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

ANVL uses essential cookies only. These are strictly necessary for the service to function — for example, keeping you logged in and remembering your session. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party tracking cookies.

Children

ANVL is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child under 16 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Your continued use of ANVL after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
